Nisha Ehamparanathan

Nisha Ehamparanathan serves as a Lecturer in Clinical Skills within the Institute of Health Sciences Education at Queen Mary University of London's Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. Based at the Robin Brook Centre, St Bartholomew's Hospital, she teaches across all medical school years and acts as a senior internal examiner for Year 2 students while facilitating Problem-Based Learning sessions and mentoring.

Her research focuses on innovative approaches to medical student education, particularly in clinical skills acquisition and experiential learning methodologies. With active clinical practice in Essex, she integrates primary care perspectives into medical pedagogy, emphasizing practical skill development and patient-centered communication training for future physicians.

Dr Ehamparanathan maintains a dual professional role as both an academic educator and practicing General Practitioner, dedicating two days weekly to clinical work. Her background includes Clinical Commissioning Group experience during GP training, which informs her educational approaches to healthcare system navigation and community-oriented medical practice.
