Rebecca M. Rosen

Dr. Rebecca M. Rosen is an Assistant Professor of English at Murray State University, serving as Coordinator for the Medical and Health Humanities Minor and Certificate programs. She holds a PhD and MA from Princeton University, an MSt from the University of Oxford, and a BA from Barnard College, Columbia University. Her research focuses on multiethnic early American literature, Native American literature, African American literature, and intersections between literature and medicine.

Dr. Rosen teaches courses including ENG 105 (BIPOC Contemporary American Women Writers), ENG 311 (American Literature to 1865), and ENG 320 (Survey of African American Literature). Her work bridges historical literary analysis with contemporary medical humanities, examining themes like reproductive rights, colonial legal practices, and bioethical dilemmas in science fiction.
