Rebecca L. Anne-Davis is a Research Associate and cotutelle PhD Student in Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Münster (Germany) and the University of Groningen (Netherlands). Her doctoral projects focus on 'Mediated girlhoods in an age of religious pluralism' and 'The women who left: An ethnography with ex-Evangelical women.' She holds a Master’s in Multilingual and Multicultural Education from the Université du Luxembourg and a BA in French Studies from the University of Northern Colorado.
Her research interests include feminist methodologies, digital ethnography, and the study of morality and religious deconversion. Notable achievements include a thesis nominated for the Prix Germain Dondelinge and organizing an exhibit on girls in religion with girlmuseum.com. She has taught at international schools and conducted fieldwork among Evangelical teenage girls in the U.S.
Rebecca is affiliated with the Center for Religious Studies (CERES) and the RePliV graduate school, and is a member of the American Anthropological Association, European Association of Social Anthropologists, and Society for the Anthropology of Religion.
