Raphael Sbrzesny is a visual artist, musician, and professor specializing in interdisciplinary practices at the intersection of sound, performance, and conceptual art. From 2018–2023, he held the unique professorship for Rethinking Interpretation in Sound, Performance, and Conceptual Artistic Practice at the University of the Arts Bremen (HfK Bremen). Since 2024, he serves as Professor and Head of the Master’s program 'Music and Scene in Transformation' at the Basel Academy of Music (FHNW). His work bridges sculpture, performance, and music, emphasizing the body as an instrument and the concept of the 'emancipated interpreter.'
