Raffaele D'Alessio is an Associate Professor (II Fascia) in the Department of Legal Sciences at the University of Salento. His academic expertise focuses on Roman Law and the Foundations of European Law. He holds a law degree from the University of Naples 'Federico II', a specialization in Legal Professions from the same university, and a PhD in Roman Studies from the University of Palermo. Before joining the University of Salento in 2015, he taught Roman History and Ancient Law at the Second University of Naples. He has been qualified as a Full Professor since 2022. His research and teaching emphasize Roman legal traditions and their influence on modern European legal frameworks. Notably, he received the Special Prize at the 10th International Romance Prize 'Gerard Boulvert' from the University of Camerino.
