University of Southern CaliforniaAbout
Prashant Dogra serves as Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Associate Director of the Center for Quantitative Drug and Disease Modeling at the University of Southern California's Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, where he bridges pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical engineering, and data science to advance drug development.
His educational credentials include:
- PhD from The University of New Mexico
- BPharm from Panjab University
Dr. Dogra's research pioneers New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) integrating multiscale mechanistic modeling, quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP), and artificial intelligence to solve critical challenges in nanomedicine and therapeutics. His lab focuses on AI-guided nanoparticle design for organ-specific targeting, systems modeling for personalized cancer treatment, and vaccination optimization strategies. This interdisciplinary work leverages mathematical modeling and machine learning to transform translational pharmacology through computational prediction of drug behavior.
He currently leads NIH-funded research including an R01 grant (1R01EB035545) from the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering supporting his PBPK-Tox modeling framework for nanoparticle safety prediction.
Dr. Dogra actively cultivates interdisciplinary collaborations and recruits students from computational and biomedical backgrounds to join his lab's mission of accelerating nanomaterial translation through rational design.
