Phillip Black is an Assistant Professor of Tuba at Wichita State University's School of Music, part of the College of Fine Arts. He serves as principal tubist with the Wichita Symphony Orchestra and Wichita Brass Quintet, and has held leadership roles in ensembles such as the Flint Symphony Orchestra, Galliard Brass Ensemble, New Mexico Symphony, and New Mexico Brass Quintet.
