Paul Mullins is an Adjunct Professor of Art at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Art. He taught full-time at San Francisco State University (2001-2016) across all levels of painting and drawing. His artistic practice involves repetitive generation of works exploring class, place, memory, and masculinity through hand-drawn magazine fragments.
Mullins holds a BFA from Marshall University and MFA from Ohio University. His work has been exhibited extensively for over two decades. Research interests include:
- Social position representation in visual media
- Materiality of memory in art
- Intersections of class and aesthetics
Honors include a 2017 residency at Vermont Studio Center.
