Patrick Henrichs is an Associate Lecturer in Historical Trumpet and Trumpet Methodology at the Lucerne School of Music (HSLU), part of the University of Lucerne. He concurrently serves as an Honorary Professor (Honorarprofessor) for historical trumpet and trumpet pedagogy at the Trossingen University of Music. His expertise spans Baroque trumpet performance, early music interpretation, and instrumental pedagogy.
Education: He studied modern trumpet and Baroque trumpet with Prof. Horst Dieter Bolz and Michael Laird at Trossingen University of Music, and historical performance practice at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. His teaching integrates both practical performance techniques and musicological research.
Research & Publications: Henrichs authored two seminal works: Pustus lernt Trompete (2007), a beginner’s method for modern trumpet, and die Barocktrompetenschule (2013), a systematic guide to natural trumpet technique and Baroque interpretation.
