Lisandro Abadie is a Lecturer in historical performance practice for singing at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, where he has been employed since fall 2022. He also teaches in the Master of Advanced Studies (AVES) program and leads vocal coaching sessions. A bass-baritone performer, he collaborates with renowned ensembles like Les Arts Florissants and has worked with conductors such as William Christie and Václav Luks. His research focuses on linguistic foundations of singing, vocal pedagogy, and historical performance practices, including translations of key texts like Giulio Caccini’s writings. He is a recipient of the 2006 Edwin Fischer Memorial Prize.
