Patrick Finglass is a prominent academic in classical studies, currently serving as the Henry Overton Wills Professor of Greek at the University of Bristol since 2017. Prior to this, he held multiple academic positions at the University of Nottingham, including Professor of Greek (2012–2017), Associate Professor in Greek (2009–2012), and Lecturer in Classical Studies (2006–2008). He was also a Fellow by Examination at All Souls College, Oxford, from 2001 to 2008.
Research Interests: Dr. Finglass specializes in Archaic and Classical Greek poetry, with a focus on classical philology and ancient literature. His work bridges textual analysis, historical context, and linguistic scholarship in early Greek poetic traditions.
