Patricia J. Mileham is Dean of the Christopher Center Library at Valparaiso University, where she has been a faculty member since 1998. After earning tenure in 2005, she was appointed Director of Research Services in 2008, overseeing library instruction, reference, and outreach. Her leadership roles include Interim Dean (2018-2019), University Marshal (2012-2014), and Chair of the Strategic Plan Goal One Task Force (2015-2016).
- Education: M.A. in Library and Information Science (University of Iowa), B.A. in English with Writing minor (University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point).
Her research focuses on information literacy, evidence-based practice, and library assessment, particularly in nursing education. She has published on skill evaluation for student workers and self-efficacy in new nursing students.
Selected as a UCLA Library Senior Fellow (2018) and a Harvard Leadership Institute attendee (2014, 2015), she actively contributes to professional organizations including the American Library Association (ALA) and its divisions.
