Dr. Noel Semple is an Associate Professor at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law, specializing in access to justice, legal ethics, and legal services regulation. His research examines how legal institutions function in practice and how they can be improved to deliver justice more effectively.
Semple directs the Windsor Legal Practice Simulation, a mandatory experiential learning program for all first-year law students. He has received the Windsor Student Law Society Faculty Award for teaching excellence and serves on the Boards of Directors for South Etobicoke Community Legal Services and the National Self-Represented Litigants Project.
His scholarly work focuses on tribunal accessibility, professional regulation, and welfarist approaches to justice reform. Recent publications analyze Ontario's adjudicative tribunal system and propose frameworks for person-centered justice.
