Noel Caplice

Professor Noel Caplice is Professor of Cardiovascular Sciences in the Department of Medicine and Director of the Centre for Research in Vascular Biology at University College Cork, with a joint appointment as Consultant Cardiologist at Cork University Hospital. Previously, he held positions at the Mayo Clinic where he directed the Vascular Stem Cell Laboratory.

His research focuses on fundamental questions in vascular stem cell biology, atherosclerosis, and vascular remodeling, with emphasis on translational applications. Key areas include:

• Therapeutic approaches for myocardial infarction repair
• Real-time tracking of stem cell therapies
• Novel tissue engineering strategies for vascular grafts
