Professor Nigel Cook is a mineralogist-geologist at the University of Adelaide's School of Chemical Engineering, specializing in complex ore deposits, sulphide mineralogy, and geometallurgy. He holds a PhD from the University of London (1988) and has worked in Canada, Germany, and Norway. Currently a Grant-Funded Researcher (E), he leads the PRIF RCP Industry Consortium 'Unlocking Complex Resources through Lean Processing' and previously directed the ARC Research Hub for Australian Copper-Uranium.
His research focuses on trace element distribution in ores, uranium mineralogy, and critical elements like rare earths.
