Jason Bennett

Jason Bennett is a Lecturer in the Multi-Discipline field at The University of Western Australia (UWA). He holds a PhD in Earth Sciences from UWA (2021) and a Bachelors of Global and Ocean Sciences (Hons) with a Geology double major from the Australian National University (ANU, 2011). His current roles include Senior Spectral Mineralogist at Portable Spectral Services (since July 2024) and Casual Teaching at UWA. Previously, he worked as a Mine Geologist and Graduate Geologist at BHP Billiton Iron Ore Pty Ltd (2012–2015). His primary research focuses on element transport, segregation, and enrichment during geological processes, and the mineralogical diversity of ore deposits. Secondary interests span broader Earth Sciences.
