Dr. Nicole Catherine is an Assistant Professor and Canada Research Chair Tier II in Child Health Equity and Policy at Simon Fraser University's Faculty of Health Sciences. As Associate Director of the Children’s Health Policy Centre, she leads research on early childhood interventions and health equity for underserved families.
Her research focuses on:
- Evaluating early prevention programs like Nurse-Family Partnership
- Developing inclusive methodologies for vulnerable populations
- Informing child health policies across British Columbia
Recent publications examine strategies to support young mothers, validate trauma measures, and evaluate home visiting programs. Her $6.9M BC Healthy Connections Project trial informs international prevention initiatives.
