Dr. Kimberly Thomson is an Assistant Professor in the Children's Health Policy Centre within Simon Fraser University's Faculty of Health Sciences. She investigates how early social environments influence lifelong mental health trajectories and intergenerational wellbeing.
Research Interests:
Her program focuses on: social determinants of children's mental health; intergenerational transmission of mental health; policy impacts on child development; and optimizing early environments for social-emotional wellbeing. She employs life course epidemiology and community-engaged approaches.
