Nicolas Hodges

Nicolas Hodges is a Professor at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts, where he teaches piano majors (BA, MA, soloist class), MA Piano New Music, and seminars on Introduction to New Music. He is a globally acclaimed concert pianist specializing in Classical, Romantic, and contemporary repertoire, collaborating with orchestras such as the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Philharmonic, and London Philharmonic, as well as ensembles like the Arditti Quartet and Trio Accanto.

Hodges has premiered works by composers including Elliott Carter, Thomas Adès, and Beat Furrer, and his discography features recordings of pieces by Adams, Birtwistle, and Carter. He performs regularly at prestigious festivals such as the Lucerne Festival, BBC Proms, and Wien Modern, with future engagements including concerts at the Wigmore Hall and the Acht Brücken Festival in Cologne.
