Dr. Nathan Tingler is the Instructor of Percussion and Director of the Tornado Drumline at Brevard College, North Carolina. With a Doctorate (D.M.A.) and Masters in Performance from the University of Georgia, and a Professional Studies certificate from the Cleveland Institute of Music, his expertise spans percussion performance, music education, and composition. He has held prior teaching roles at institutions like Georgia College and State University and continues to lead clinics and masterclasses.
His performance career includes engagements with orchestras such as the Tallahassee Symphony and the Chattanooga Symphony, as well as collaborations with artists like Bela Fleck and Dave Brubeck. As a composer, his works, published by Bachovich Music Publications, are performed nationally. He also directs the percussion duo Mist and leads the Tornado Drumline, a competitive marching ensemble.
