Naresh R. Shanbhag

Naresh R. Shanbhag is the Jack Kilby Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His career spans academia and industry, with prior roles at AT&T Bell Laboratories and visiting appointments at National Taiwan University and Stanford University.

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Minnesota (1993)

His research focuses on energy-efficient integrated circuits and systems design for communications, signal processing, and machine learning. He has authored over 200 publications and holds thirteen US patents in these areas.

He has led industry projects at AT&T Bell Laboratories, including high-speed transceiver chip-sets for VDSL, and continues to contribute to academic-industry collaborations.
