Nadav Linial is a professor of Modern Hebrew Language and Literature at Case Western Reserve University. He is affiliated with the Department of Modern Hebrew Language and Literature, where he teaches Hebrew language courses and explores Modern Hebrew literature and Israeli culture.
Education:
- Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Hebrew Literature from Tel-Aviv University
- PhD in Middle East Studies from the University of Michigan
His research focuses on Hebrew literature’s engagement with the tragic tradition and its role in the cultural landscape of the Yishuv, the Jewish settlement in pre-state Israel/Palestine. Linial is also an accomplished Israeli Hebrew poet.

- 2011 Teva Prize for Hebrew Poetry
- 2020 Pa’is Prize for Poetry Manuscripts
Linial has published two poetry books: Tikrat Ha’Adamah (Earth Ceiling, Keshev, 2010) and Hallel (Praise, Pardes, 2021). He teaches a range of courses on Hebrew language, Modern Hebrew literature, and Israeli culture.
