Lior Libman is an Associate Professor of Israel Studies and Director of the Center for Israel Studies at Binghamton University. Her research focuses on Modern Hebrew and Israeli literatures, cultural history, Socialist Zionism, and the Kibbutz Movement. She holds a PhD from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Research explores nation-building narratives, class dynamics, and cultural transitions from pre-State Yishuv to modern Israel. She co-directs the Literature and Culture section of the European Association of Israel Studies annual conferences.
Recent work includes publications in Iyunim Bitkumat Israel and Journal of Badiou Studies, examining political imagination in early Israeli statehood and critical theory applications.
