Dr. Myra Rhoden is a Professor at the University of West Georgia, affiliated with the School of Visual and Performing Arts within the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. She conducts the Symphonic Band and teaches graduate/undergraduate courses in Music Education. A retired high school band director with 30 years of experience, she founded the Athena Music and Leadership program (AthenaCamp.com), fostering leadership skills through music for girls. She serves as a guest conductor for honor bands nationally and internationally, and has presented at The Midwest Clinic and major conferences.
