Frank Tracz

Dr. Frank Tracz is a Professor of Music and Director of Bands at Kansas State University. His career spans roles at Syracuse University, Morehead State University, and leadership in the Conn-Selmer Institute and American Band College. He earned degrees from The Ohio State University (BME, PhD) and University of Wisconsin, Madison (MM).

• Research & Leadership: Focuses on wind ensemble conducting, band program administration, and music education.
• Notable Achievements: Directed ensembles at Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, and American Bandmasters Association conferences; secured over $5M for the Tracz Family Band Hall (2023); Sudler Trophy recipient (2015).
