Monroe Isenberg

Monroe Isenberg is an Adjunct Professor at Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD), specializing in interdisciplinary art practices blending minimalism, light, space, and sound. He holds an MFA in Visual Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park.

His work explores natural phenomena through sculptural installations and video, such as Habitus—a performative sculpture collaborating with acrobat Shawn Stone. This piece uses movement to create rain-like sounds and visual effects evoking prairie grasses and sea anemones.

Recent activities include a 2019 fellowship at Iceland's Lunga School. His artwork has been exhibited internationally and is held in major U.S. public/private collections.
