Avigail Manneberg is an Assistant Professor of Studio Arts at Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD). She holds an MFA from the University of Minnesota (2012) and a BDes from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem (2006). Her interdisciplinary art practice spans painting, drawing, video, and performance, exploring themes of identity, cultural displacement, and global migration. Manneberg has been supported by DAAD fellowships in Berlin (2009, 2015, 2017) and has exhibited internationally in venues including Finland, Cyprus, Beijing, and Israel. Her work critically engages with postcolonial narratives and forced migration, exemplified by her project A Contested Home, which examines Palestinian displacement in the Galilee.
Research & Grants: Recipient of Minnesota State Arts Board grants (2018) and University of Minnesota Human Rights Initiative funding for projects addressing cultural memory and rights. Her creative practice merges personal history with global sociopolitical issues, interrogating how national identity shapes individual and collective narratives.
Teaching: Taught studio arts at both MCAD and the University of Minnesota since 2012, integrating multicultural perspectives into pedagogy. Active member of Rosalux Gallery Collective in Minneapolis.
