Monika Nowicka serves as Assistant Professor at the Institute of Sociology and Deputy Head of the Department of Sociology at Civitas University, holding a PhD in Sociology.

Dr. Nowicka specializes in Migration Studies with concentrated expertise in immigrant integration processes. Her research portfolio extends to Urban Sociology and Sociology of Small Social Groups, currently evolving toward critical analysis of Refugee Experiences intersecting with Disability, particularly regarding Ukrainian war refugees. This trajectory demonstrates her responsiveness to emergent humanitarian crises through sociological frameworks.

Her scientific contributions include research contracts with Polish governmental bodies: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, and Ministry of Interior and Administration’s COPE.
