Mike McGreary

Dr. Mike McGreary is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Lead for Sport and Exercise Psychology at Keele University. A HCPC-registered psychologist, his research applies think-aloud methodology to athlete cognition and career transitions.

Research Areas:

• Think-aloud protocols for accessing in-event athlete cognition
• Psychological demands of junior-to-senior transitions in elite sport
• Stress and coping mechanisms in cricket and football

Applied work includes developing reflective practice interventions for soccer goalkeepers and transition support systems for professional female footballers.

Professional Roles: Associate editor for the International Journal of Sport Psychology and committee member for the BPS Division of Sport and Exercise Psychology.
