Tom King

Tom King serves as a Senior Lecturer in Sport Psychology and Programme Lead for the Applied Sport and Exercise Science degree at Wrexham University. He teaches Sport Psychology across the BSc (Hons) Applied Sport and Exercise Science and BSc (Hons) Football Coaching and the Performance Specialist degrees, covering all year levels.

He has established psychological programs at elite levels, including at Leicester City Football Club where he built the academy's psychological provision and worked with the PL2 team. His contributions include a book chapter in "Football Psychology from Theory to Practice" (Routledge, 2019) and various case studies, highlighting the integration of psychological principles in enhancing athletic performance.

In his academic role, King leverages extensive applied experience to mentor students. He has worked with DP World Tour, PGA Tour, and Challenge Tour golfers, supporting multiple tournament winners, and previously contributed to the psychological development of players at Leicester City FC.
