Mike Fisher

Mike Fisher is Professor of Evidence-Based Social Work at the University of Bedfordshire's Tilda Goldberg Centre for Social Work and Social Care within the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences. His research examines evidence-based policy and practice, dementia services, and methodological approaches in social work research.

Research investigates how social care can better reflect service users' needs through reablement programs, alcohol management in care homes, and reducing health inequalities. He has led significant projects involving people with dementia in systematic reviews and studies on research-practice translation.

Publications focus on practice research methodologies, international frameworks for social work research, and knowledge transfer mechanisms between academia and practice settings.
