Dr. Michelle Hewlett Sanchez is Senior Professor of Practice and Director of the Tulane Center for K-12 STEM Education. With PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, she applies technical expertise to STEM education innovation while teaching computational methods and digital logic systems.
Research bridges engineering and education, focusing on K-12 STEM engagement strategies and educational technology development. Earlier signal processing research examined speech analysis for clinical applications, including depression detection in elderly populations through prosodic feature analysis.
