Dr. Michelle Dusseau is a Senior Lecturer of Communication at the Nicholson School of Communication and Media, University of Central Florida, since 2005. She holds dual roles as the College of Sciences Faculty Fellow for Undergraduate Student Engagement and Chair of the University Master Planning Committee. Additionally, she serves as a Faculty Senator and lead facilitator for UCF’s Emotional Intelligence Training program.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication (Rollins College)
- Master’s degree in Corporate Communication and Technology (Rollins College)
- PhD in Education (focused on human motivation and learning behavior)
Research & Expertise: Her work integrates social equity, interpersonal dynamics, and organizational communication. She specializes in gender issues, family communication, nonverbal behavior, and universal design for learning. She has developed training programs for UCF and advocates for inclusive pedagogy, earning the College of Sciences Inclusive Design Designation.
Leadership & Service: Beyond teaching, Dusseau leads institutional initiatives in student engagement and campus planning. Her roles emphasize bridging academic and administrative spheres to foster equity and innovation.
