Michaela Fritzl is a Doctoral Student and Research Associate at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, affiliated with the Prehistoric Identities Research Group. She has been working since 2016 on major research projects investigating motherhood in Bronze Age Europe while concurrently pursuing her PhD at the University of Vienna since 2018.

Currently engaged in two significant projects—'The Social Status of Motherhood in Bronze Age Europe' and 'The Value of Mothers to Societies'—she examines how maternal roles shaped social structures in ancient European communities through material culture analysis and cemetery studies.
