Peter Trebsche

Peter Trebsche is a Professor of Prehistory and Early History at the University of Innsbruck, heading the Metal Ages Department and Microarchaeological Laboratory. His career spans roles at institutions including the German Archaeological Institute, Danube University Krems, and University of Vienna (where he completed habilitation in 2018).

• Research Focus: Settlement archaeology, mining archaeology, and microarchaeology with emphasis on Bronze/Iron Age Central Europe.
• Key Projects: Excavations at Prigglitz-Gasteil copper mine (Lower Austria), French-Austrian collaboration at Haselbach settlement, and leadership in Tauferer Ahrntal montane archaeology (South Tyrol).
