Melondie R. Carter

Melondie R. Carter serves as the Ralph W. Beeson Dean and Professor at the Moffett & Sanders School of Nursing, Samford University. With 36 years of nursing education experience, she previously held roles such as Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs at the University of Alabama’s Capstone College of Nursing. Her leadership includes participation in the SEC Academic Leadership Program and AACN’s Faculty Policy Intensive. Dr. Carter’s scholarly focus centers on worksite health promotion and strategies to enhance nursing student success. She developed wellness programs, including the WellBAMA initiative, which provided clinical opportunities for students.
