Meagan R Rogers

Dr. Meagan R. Rogers is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), within the College of Nursing and Health Innovation. She holds roles as a clinical educator, researcher, and program leader, with a focus on nursing education innovation and student success.

Education:

Research Interests: Transition to nursing practice, educational disparities, predictive analytics for student support, foster youth transitions, and mental health needs of homeless youth. She leads projects like the PROTECT initiative (THECB-funded) and the Competency-Based Education for Practice-Ready Nurse Graduates program (AACN-funded).

Teaching: Leads courses in nursing leadership, management, and pediatric care. Active in curriculum design and simulation-based education.

Grants & Awards: Over $900k in funding secured, including THECB and AACN grants. Recognized as 2023 Experiential Learning Champion and 2022 Dean’s Leadership Award recipient.

Service: Serves on state and national committees (e.g., Texas Transfer Framework, NLN Fair Testing Imperative Review). Advises Cook Children’s Medical Center and leads the NLN Accelerating to Practice Program.
