Melissa Boehm

Melissa Boehm is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at Montana State University Billings' College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences. She has taught over 20 communication courses across modalities (in-person, online, hybrid, HyFlex) and directs the Master of Science in Public Relations program.

• Co-chairs the MSUB Women’s Faculty Caucus
• Advises all graduate students in the department
• Board member for Friends of Yellowstone Public Radio

Her research focuses on communication pedagogy, gender equity, and mentorship frameworks, with demonstrated community outreach and conference presentations at 12 peer-reviewed events.

Boehm's academic leadership extends to peer-reviewing for multiple journals and publishing four book chapters (2 single-authored, 2 co-authored), while advocating for first-generation students and women in academia.
