Melanie Syron is an ACHPER Board Member and a Lecturer in Indigenous Studies with extensive experience in Aboriginal education, cultural safety, and community engagement. As an Awabakal and Worimi woman, she has resided on Kabi Kabi country in Queensland for 20 years and draws on her upbringing in a remote community to foster belonging through sports coaching and consulting.
