Matthew Frame

Matthew Frame is a Lecturer in Illustration for Graphic Design at the University of Greenwich, affiliated with the School of Design under the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He holds a BA and MA in Communication Design from Central Saint Martins. With over 10 years of professional experience, his practice focuses on illustration as a tool for social critique and visual storytelling across diverse media including hospitality design, ceramics, animation, and independent publishing.

His research explores psychogeography, hauntology, urbanism, trash culture, science fiction, and semiotic theory. As a founding member of Portsmouth University's Illustration Research group, he co-runs Jeune Press to further these inquiries. Matthew has taught across multiple institutions, specializing in Cultural and Critical Studies alongside design disciplines. His creative outputs include exhibitions internationally and contributions to academic discourse on design's role in societal reflection.
