Matthew Cooper is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the UWA Medical School and affiliated with the UWA Centre for Child Health Research and The Kids Research Institute Australia. He holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from The University of Western Australia (2018) and multiple BSc degrees from Victoria University of Wellington (2007). As Manager of Biometrics at the Telethon Kids Institute since 2010, he leads biostatistical and data management teams supporting child health research across Western Australia.
His expertise spans biostatistics, clinical trials, and epidemiology with focus on chronic conditions like Type 1 diabetes, infectious diseases, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
