María del Pilar Roca Salom is a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), where she has held academic roles since 1986. She leads the Multidisciplinary Translational Oncology research group at the Balearic Islands Health Research Institute (IdISBa) and contributes to the Energy Metabolism and Nutrition group within CIBERobn (Biomedical Research Network Center for Obesity and Nutrition Pathophysiology).
