Mary Rita Weller

Dr. Mary Rita Weller is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at Kutztown University, located in Kutztown, PA. She holds a Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Human Sexuality from Widener University, an MSW from Temple University, and undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Spanish from SUNY Oneonta.

Research focuses on intersectional social work issues including trauma recovery, disability support systems, LGBTQ+ advocacy, poverty mitigation, and case management strategies. Maintains professional memberships with NASW, Council on Social Work Education, American Association of Sexologists, and others.

Serves on the Board of Directors and as Program Committee Chair for Service Access and Management, Inc. in Reading, PA.
