Mary Howell

Mary Howell, RN, MSN, CPN, CNL is an Instructor of Nursing at the University of Virginia School of Nursing. She teaches pediatric nursing to BSN and CNL students and has clinical experience in pediatric acute care and case management.

Background: After volunteering in Colombian and Panamanian orphanages, she earned a BA in Latin American Studies and Spanish minor from UVA. She later completed UVA's Clinical Nurse Leader program.

Clinical Experience: Worked on UVA's pediatrics floor (Daisy Award nominee) and as a pediatric case manager serving Spanish-speaking families with medically complex children.
