About
Markus Filippi is a Researcher at the Department of Turbomachinery and Fluid Dynamics at OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts (TH OWL) since April 2018. He is simultaneously pursuing a doctoral degree at TH OWL and Technische Universität Braunschweig since July 2018, focusing on the flow characteristics of reversible S-shaped profiles. As a part-time lecturer since 2015, he teaches modules in Mathematics for economic and technical applications, Business Mathematics and Statistics, and Fluid Mechanics at the University of Applied Sciences for medium-sized companies in Bielefeld and Hanover.
His research interests include fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, and educational technology, particularly through the development of learning apps for fluid mechanics in the "Virtual Fluid Experience" project. He has also contributed to projects like "RTAero" (Real Time Aerometer) for mobile aerodynamic measurements and "MonoCab OWL" for small shuttles using railroad lines. His work combines theoretical research with practical applications in mechanical and fluid engineering.
