Mark Morris is an Assistant Professor of Practice and Glass Studio Technician at Southern Illinois University's School of Art and Design. He holds an MFA in Glass from Tulane University (2020) and a BA in Sculpture from the University of New Orleans (2018). His career includes teaching glass at Tulane University, managing the YAYA Arts Center's glass studio in New Orleans for a decade, and leading workshops at Urban Glass (Brooklyn) and Bullseye Glass Factory (Portland, OR). He also taught at the Toyama City Institute of Glass Art in Japan (2009/10) and has been deeply involved with Pilchuck Glass School for twelve summers as staff, student, and teaching assistant.
