Jean Fernandes is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Art and Art History at The University of Texas at Arlington. An internationally recognized artist specializing in glass, she teaches kiln-forming techniques while maintaining an active studio practice.
Her artistic research explores innovative approaches to kiln-formed glass, with exhibitions spanning international venues including the Bellevue Arts Museum and Prague Gallery of Czech Glass. Significant awards include the Niche Award in Sculptural Glass and recognition as a Bullseye Emerge finalist.
