Marion Becella Neff is a Lecturer at the Lucerne School of Design, Film and Art (DFK), part of Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Her teaching focuses on textile fundamentals, weaving design, and interdisciplinary design modules. With over two decades of professional experience since 1995, she specializes in textile product development, research, and marketing. In 2004, she founded a consulting firm focused on trend development and textile design for interior and fashion sectors, and she frequently serves as a speaker for industry clients. Between 2004 and 2009, she managed trend analysis for the Swiss Textile Association (TVS) and was a member of the international color circle Intercolor.
Her research interests emphasize the integration of digitalization in design, music, and technology, particularly within constrained in-person formats. She explores textile history, cultural heritage, and contemporary design practices. Her artistic work includes curation and exhibitions, such as the 2018 'Made in Neuchâtel' exhibition.
