Doris Kurzmeyer

Doris Kurzmeyer is a Lecturer at the Lucerne School of Design, Film and Art (part of Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts). She specializes in textile and materials design, with expertise in screen printing techniques and interdisciplinary design. Her professional journey includes roles at Jakob Schlaepfer & Co. (1994–1996), freelance work in fashion and interior design, and theater costume design collaborations (2004–2005).

Since 2001, she has taught design principles and textile screen printing at HSLU, contributing to the establishment of the Materials Design program (2007–2015) and coordinating interdisciplinary elective courses (IDA, 2014–2017). Her work emphasizes interdisciplinarity and transformation in design education and practice.
