Margit Rosen

Margit Rosen is a Professor in the Master’s program MediaArtHistories at Danube University Krems. She holds the position of Head of Collections, Archives & Research at ZKM (Karlsruhe) and has taught at institutions including HfG Karlsruhe, CAFA Beijing, and as a Visiting Professor at Art Academy Münster (2011/2013). Her work bridges art history, cybernetics, and electronic arts.

• Education: Art History, Political Science, Philosophy, and Media Arts from Ludwig Maximilians University Munich, Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG), and University of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne).
• Research Focus: 20th/21st-century art, aesthetics of electronic arts, and cybernetic art history. Notable work includes examining Gordon Pask’s conversational machines and their societal implications.
